Over the past few weeks, I have embarked on a deeper dive learning experience that has expanded my knowledge in both expected and unexpected ways. My focus has primarily been on health informatics, AI infrastructure development, and project management, but the process itself has taught me just as much as the content I explored. In this blog post, I reflect on my learning journey, share the resources I have curated, and highlight the creative approaches I experimented with to document and internalize my learning.
Learning Through Experimentation and Reflection
One of the key aspects of my learning process has been experimentation—not just in consuming information but in how I document, analyze, and reflect on it. I explored multiple modalities to reinforce my understanding, including:
- Infographics: Visualizing key takeaways from my research on health informatics and AI-driven healthcare solutions helped solidify complex concepts.
- Sketchnotes: Doodling and annotating articles with sketchnotes was a fun way to digest information. Here’s one of my sketchnotes on AI-driven EHR systems:
Curated Resources & Insights
Throughout this process, I gathered a wealth of resources that were instrumental in my learning:
Health Informatics & AI in Healthcare
- “The Role of AI in Health Informatics” – Harvard Health Blog
- Microsoft Research: AI Infrastructure in Healthcare
- WHO Guidelines on Digital Health Interventions
Project Management & Communication Strategies
- PMI Project Management Guide
- Case Studies on EHR Implementation Across Multi-Hospital Networks .
Tools I Used for Learning & Documentation
- Lucidchart for UML diagrams and process mapping.
- Canva for infographic creation.
- Notion to track my reflections and progress.
- OBS Studio for screencast recordings.
Challenges & Breakthroughs
No deep learning process is without its challenges, and I encountered several:
- Overwhelming Volume of Information – At times, I felt lost in the sheer amount of content. My solution was to use mind maps and structured note-taking to break down complex topics.
- Balancing Theory and Practice – I found myself consuming more than applying. To counter this, I created small coding projects related to AI-driven health data visualization.
Next Steps: Applying My Learning
Moving forward, I plan to:
- Develop a small AI model for healthcare data analytics and document the process.
- Write a detailed case study on a real-world implementation of AI in EHR systems.
- Expand my project management skills by leading a group discussion on health informatics project strategies.

Final Thought: Embracing Creativity in Learning
This journey has reinforced the idea that learning is not just about acquiring knowledge but about how we engage with it. By blending different media, actively experimenting, and seeking peer feedback, I have made my learning process more interactive, enjoyable, and impactful.
I encourage everyone to experiment with creative ways to document learning whether it’s through visuals, videos, or interactive tools. The deeper we dive, the more we grow.
